Rafique Louison
Content Creator

Rafique Louison graduated with a Bacholors degree in Journalism at Long Island University-Brooklyn and a Masters Degree in Public Media with a concentration in Multi-Media Journalism at Fordham University. He grew up in Brooklyn, NY and currently lives near his High School alma mater Canarsie Educational Campus, where he graduated in 2009. Louison host his own digital sports show Nothin But Dat Sports Talk and is a content writer for Planted Not Buried. 

 

Louison’s work with Planted Not Buried involves coming up with ways to build engagement thought interviews and articles. I publish the interviews on the PNB social media platforms. 

 

Prior to studying Journalism at LIU Broooklyn, Louison played piano at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and participated in theater classes and on-stage plays at the Abrons Art Center. His favorite hobbies in video games, movies, and listening to music. 

 

While attending LIU Brooklyn, Louison covered college sports and entertainment for the Seawanhaka Newspaper and became Program Director for LIU-TV. He would continue his campus media work at Fordham University when he became a News Reporter and contributed to the Sports department at WFUV Public Radio. While hosting Nothin But Dat Sports Talk, Louison covered the Big 3, WNBA, summer basketball tournament games, and high school sports. Some notable interviews includes ESPN and MSG Newtork’s Monica McNutt, Bleacher Reports Arielle Chambers, Girls Talk Sports TV’s Khristina Williams, and several other athletes and sports fans. 

 

Fun Fact: Rafique Louison’s favorite teams in the four major sports are the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets (NBA), New York Giants (NFL), New York Mets (MLB), New York Rangers and New York Islanders (NHL).
