Expectations and Responsibilities

Detailed Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain and schedule posts for the social media pages - Facebook Group and Instagram

  • Write, research, compile, and edit various written materials including press releases, and features, and spotlight articles

  • Career and professional mentoring and networking through this role with Renee and other industry professionals

  • Create and strengthen media relations as a liaison to outlets for press releases, videos and pictures

  • Find or Produce short video clips that promote the program as well as  members success/posts

  • Serve as a media relations expert for clients to maximize positive exposure opportunities.

  • Consistently post across the company’s slack, website, and social media channels

  • Connect PNB with professionals especially small businesses and minority groups (race, gender, etc)

  • Coordinate and run Email Marketing Campaign

  • Help coordinate and promote apparel and product sales

  • Create, organize, and grow database of contacts - members, sponsors, connections

  • Expertise in social media strategies, photography and videography

  • Working knowledge of website management, multimedia, and new media technologies

 

Other Expectations:

  • Meet regularly with colleagues to connect about philosophy, strategy, and coverage.

  • Assist with promotion, organization, and execution of any events 

  • Demonstrate initiative, positive attitude, attention to detail, and dependability.

  • Demonstrate good organization and prioritization skills: meet deadlines, detail-oriented, multi-task

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Have strong interpersonal skills: communication, presentation, negotiation

  • Able to work in a remote environment

  • Time of the role depends on the tasks, but you can expect 10-15 hours/week

  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Products

  • Familiarity with the Google Platform within an education setting is preferable.

  • Excellent written communication skills and interpersonal skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Current college student or recent Grad

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree, preferable concentration in media arts, graphic design, or a sports communication field
